Philosophy of Music

Music is the art of composing and performing sound. It is a combination of rhythm, melody, harmony and tones. It is performed either live or using a device. The sound produced can be soothing or exciting depending on the type of song. It can also help you concentrate and focus on work. Moreover, it can be a way to release emotions or to communicate with your friends. It can make you feel good and even gives you goosebumps.

Production

The origins of music can be traced back to prehistoric times when it was used to imitate natural sounds, or as part of shamanic beliefs and religious rituals. It was later developed as a medium for communication and entertainment, and the creation of musical instruments led to its development. Musical instruments like bugles were used by armies to send messages across long distances, and African tribes would beat their drums to convey information. The earliest known musical notation dates from about 1400 BC.

Factual Music

Music can be produced on various devices like pianos, guitars or gramophones. During the 20th century, new technological inventions allowed people to listen to music without the need for talented musicians and performers. The radio and gramophones enabled them to hear Classical music, Pop music, Jazz, Hip hop or other genres.

Philosophers throughout history have been concerned with questions about the nature of music, and its purpose in human life. Some philosophers have concentrated on the intrinsic nature of music, while others have considered its connection with other forms of art, or with dance or religion.
